In years to come, if you're ever in Glasgow, and you ask people where they were on the night of 29 November 2013, the chances are very good that they'll be able to tell you in an instant. The dreadful events of that night will be with this city forever.

In that time, the Scottish music scene has rallied round in amazing ways, to honour those who died and those who tried to save them, and to remember the iconic venue where this awful event took place. It is to the credit of each and every person who has organised a night, recorded a song or simply bought a CD. You are the reason I love this city, this country, this scene.

We have decided to pay our own small tribute, for what it's worth, in the pages of this issue.

Alongside that, we have some excellent features from our in-house team of writers, as well as interviews with some of the best bands around on the live scene. 

This issue has our best cover star yet; the great Bryan Adams, who's career has truly been international, spanning decades, and a slew of hit records. He was in Glasgow as part of his show promoting the anniversary of Reckless, and Sean Thomas Graham was able to spend some time talking with him about his career.

Sean was a busy boy during the last months, cause he also sat down with  80's icon Brian Nash, who was only too happy to talk about his career, his work, his past and his future.  It's a fantastic interview.

Sean also provides some excellent reviews and he had another great sit down, this time with Talk of The Town ... and if you don't think that a drag act belongs in this magazine you are dead wrong. These folks are absolutely outstanding.

We have a couple of fine interviews from Laura Scott, a cracking review of the Colonel Mustard and the Dijion 5 album and gig reviews for our cover star, Bryan Adams, Nina Nesbitt, Cheryl Crow and Sixties Gold.

Our team here at Amped are planning some stuff for the coming year, so it's going to be March before we can get out the next issue (and we'll keep to that deadline!), but in the meantime we want to say thanks to everyone who's supported us so far as we make it a perfect 10.

In this issue, we've chosen Dougie Robertson as our cover star because his band the Springsteen Sessions are something very
special indeed, and their 4 July gig in The Ferry sounds as if it will be one of the must-see events of the year. Sean Thomas Graham is
already a huge fan and was delighted to catch up with him. 

It was a close run thing this month though, because artist and musician Martin Metcalfe was a strong contender, and Laura Scott's
piece with him is outstanding, as ever. Sean also caught up with former Police guitarist Henry Padovani, in what I think is one of our best interviews to date. Henry is honest and forthright and a genuine pleasure to talk to.

James Scott, in his debut cover feature, spoke to Bruce Craigie, the promotor of bands like Fatherson and Idewild. 

This issue also features the best up-coming talent on the scene, with great interviews with Tammy Wilson, Zoe Bestel, The Corvus
Experiment's Will Johnstone, Crash Club, The Mavis Project, Vukovi.

This month's cover artist is the excellent Roddy Hart, who's one of the Scottish scene's rising stars and a genuine good guy. It was a genuine pleasure to feature him.

As well as that, we've got some other excellent stuff ... 

We've got a piece from Laura Scott on the obstacles Facebook increasingly puts in front of promoters and artists, and we've got an excellent piece from Chris Herron on the evolution of the music scene and the search for the next song or band that will stand the test of time. It's a wonderful article. 

We've got an interview with the team behind the New Hellfire Club, we've got an assortment of interviews with artists like Ladykiller Caterpillar, like Purple Valentino, The Puzzlers, The Little Kicks and One Last Secret and we have a short piece with Alan McGhee.

This issue belongs to a special group of artists, and to one hugely important organiser on the Scottish music scene. The Scottish Alternative Music Awards were held recently, and we managed to talk to not only every winning act, but to the show's organiser, the brilliant Richy Muirhead. He founded this event five years ago, and it is getting better, and stronger, with every one.

We also have some great interviews with bands like The Durty Wurks, The Apparells and The Black Diamond Express, and a very special interview with South African stars The Parlotones. 

Finally, we're joined by a guest writer for this one, funny Welsh author and all round gem of a person, Deborah Louise Blake, who's taken the reigns for this month's "20" article.

We've got some fantastic interviews with other emerging bands, the return of Cheryl Scott and her Kick Ass Column, and a new column from the multi-talented David Campbell. And we welcome a new writer, Stephen McLean.
