The issue has two Special Sections:

1. Tamil and other languages: Native speakers of other languages have been making valuable contributions to Tamil. This section carries a couple of articles on this phenomenon and a few profiles of writers and publishers who belong to this category.

2. The tragic story of Gaza: This section looks deep into the tragedies of the Palestinian people. It contains articles and poems on the issue.

The issue has two editorials. One is a detailed and in-depth analysis of the recent state elections and the other one is on Sahitya Academy Award.

The issue carries an elaborate interview of renowned historian Nayanjot Lahiri by Maruthan Gangatharan.

Magster note for Kalachuvadu October issue

The editorial is a detailed analysis of Sanatana Dharma debate. It questions the genuineness of the advocates of Sanatana Dharma in eradicating the inequalities of Hinduism. Senior writer P.A. Krishnan traces the various explanations and definitions of Sanatana Dharma through ages.

The issue has two editorials. One is on the lack of government action on the commission report on Tutukkudi firing that took place a few years ago. The second editorial speaks about the police action against selling a couple of books in a book fair.

AI is at the center of debate in literary circle too. The day may not be too far when AI starts writing fictions and literary critique. Karthik Ramachandran explores the possible developments in the literary arena and analyses the fear of AI making the writers redundant.

The conversation between Ki. Rajanarayanan and Vallikkannan on G. Azhagirisamy throws light on the writings and personality of G. Azhagirisamy. The insightful conversation was broadcasted in AIR 44 years ago. The transcription of the same is published for the first time thanks to the efforts of writer Pazha Athiyaman. It gains more importance as this is the centenary year of legendary G. Azhagirisamy.
Yuvan Chandrasekar analyses Sureshkumara Indrajith’s short stories in detail. This well written article dwells deep into the fictional world of Sureshkumara Indrajith.

Sri Lankan Tamil writer Thelivathai Joseph,Tamil writers and activists P Jayaprakasam and Vizhi Pa Idhyavendan, scholer Kasuman and Malayalam poet T P Rajeevan remembered in the tributes paid to them.Kumaranandan's short fiction, Sivasankar's poem and articles by Stalin Rajangam, G Gurusamy and Y Manikandan make the literary section a not to miss item.
