A hot cup of Rasam, flavorsome Odiyal (Jaffna) Kool or spicy curries such as Drumstick, Jaffna Crab and Mutton, or sweet Payasam offer a delicate balance between taste and nutrition.

The Maha Saman Devalaya in Ratnapura is the abode of God Sumana Saman, who is known as a Sri Lankan deity. The annual pageant of the devalaya is held in an elaborate manner from September 9 to 14, 2019 and the Maha Perahera will take place on September 13.
