In this issue
This month’s lead story is a great yarn from Josh Cairns about his Otago Dream Hunt where he takes a massive 10 point head, and his companion Jamie Fairburn a 14-pointer. The photos which go with this story were so good we ran a few extra pages to show them off. If you thought big Sika are only found in the Kawekas then check out Glenn Hallett’s monster 12-pointer taken in the Ruapehu district. For the bow hunter, Steve Meadow explains correct arrow placement when animals are encountered at different angles to the hunter.
In the How to Become a Hunter series, Simon gives some excellent tips on Winter Hunting-How To. Kevin J. Whitelaw continues his outstanding Hunting Legends series, where he tells the story of Fred Stratford, a truly remarkable Hunting Legend
This issue is packed with Testfire reviews which include the Sako 85 Carbonlight rifle, Blaser F16 shotgun, Kimber Hunter 84L rifle, Swazi’s Kagoule jacket, Biolite Campstove 2 and Ledlensers new MH10 rechargeable headlight.
