From large Saint Bernards and Labrador Retrievers to smaller Dachshunds and Chihuahuas there are 7 major types of dogs, including terriers, the toy group, working group, sporting group, hound group, non-sporting group and herding group.
Dogs can bestow some genuine warmth in our lives - which gives them the name “Man’s best Friend”. They stay by our side when we need them and show their affection when we are gone. They don’t just guard our homes, but give us a feeling of wellness just by their warm presence. There are cat lovers out there, as well as many dog lovers, who feel that these faithful companions complete our life with their love, affection and friendship. Dogs are loyal companions that will respond to their human friends and leaders, whereas cats are lonely felines that will dwell with us. Dogs will wait at doors and jump noisily with tails wagging at the sight of their best human friend while cats will turn up their noses at us. At the end of a hard day, it is a welcome sight to be greeted by our furry friends.
Dogs with Family
Dogs are eager to learn and can be trained so that they can easily stay with us in our human built apartments, homes and dwellings. We can also trust them to be on their most astute behaviour and acting responsibly when other people drop by. If they are well trained, they will not jump, bark, bite or chew. They will act appropriately around other people and in public. Dogs will also wait until their master will take them for outdoor walks so that they can attend to nature’s call, to walk obediently when on public roads full of cars and strange people, and to sit patiently in a car if they have to be taken to a pet hospital or outside a shop on the road while one gets their weekly groceries.
