A good, warm bath comes highly recommended by health experts today, and these benefits can quadruple if your bathroom is transformed into a haven comprising the latest bath fixtures. Contemporary bath solutions bring with them a level of comfort and efficiency that we never thought would be possible. Enabled with the latest technology and showcasing award-winning design features, bath fixtures of today are like art pieces. Manufacturers are creating an impressive line-up of products that consumers are compelled to adorn their bathrooms with.
“The Bathroom category has now become a high involvement consumer category,” attests Pankaj Sharma, president, Bath & Kitchen Business, H&R Johnson. Not only are international design trends being preferred, says Sharma, but there is also an increase in environment-friendly choices in this segment.
A clear shift towards ‘minimalism’ and ‘individualism’ is evident, according to Rahul Kher, director, Zalur Lifestyle. “On the industry standpoint, on one side you see price wars on low-quality products and, on the other, we see (an) industry keen to deliver high quality – and we are part of that change. (The) industry has to move from price to value, and that will only happen once all the players within the industry – be it customers or manufacturers – start offering solutions to customers.” Improvements like GST and EWAYBILL that were introduced by the government, is helping this sector too, adds Kher.
