Standing out on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road, Taj Jumeirah Lake Towers is a stunning addition to the city’s skyline.
The 200-room hotel was designed by the award-winning Wilson Associates.
We spoke to the firm’s Alika Dobie, project designer, and Stephen Meredith, general manager at Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers, to find out more about the ambitious project.
Tell us about three specific design highlights of the new property...
Stephen Meredith (SM): Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers has an extremely unique modernist architectural design and the striking façade, with its protruding balconies, makes it stand out as a landmark when viewed from Sheikh Zayed Road.
The hotel, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, offers an abundance of natural light on each floor.
It also houses Paros, an effortlessly chic rooftop pool bar and restaurant located on the 46th floor that boasts one of the most mesmerizing, panoramic views of Dubai’s skyline. Also, the chic ballroom, a first in JLT, offers a double-height ceiling that is complemented with aesthetically appointed cream and gold interiors and elegant chandeliers.
