The development is set to utilise the commercial potential of the location of the station complex and modernise the railway station facilities from the revenue generated by the sale of the development on the vacant land parcels. Three additional platforms would help accommodate the projected footfall 80,000 to 1,00,000 per day in the coming forty years.
