Sustainable can be stunning! The hospitality sector is the frontrunner when it comes to state-of-the-art and experiential interior design. While designing for the hospitality industry, especially luxury hotels, several factors propel the design strategy. However, it comes down to three significant factors-namely, that which would address the unique brand identity and aesthetics, that which would support the user experience, and that which would integrate principles of sustainability to the overall design. Architects and designers should strive to ensure social and ecological sustainability, have a responsible attitude towards understanding the cultural and built environment of the region, and faithfully complement traditional design with a global approach to hospitality.
