₹ 15 lakh (estimated) We Say: The 2017 Brutale 800 Might Be Down A Few Horses, But It Remains As Sharp And Ferocious As Ever
As far as cut-throat motorcycles go, the MV Agusta Brutale 800 has always been one of the sharpest and most rewarding to ride. Racetrack performance squeezed into a street bike package is what this motorcycle has always been about and the new Brutale is no different. It takes the incredible Italian design a step up without compromising on the razor-sharp riding experience. And while India had never previously gotten to experience the violence that is the Brutale 800, that is about to change. The 2017 motorcycle is on its way here and the wait was sure worth it!
What does it look like?
The whole theme of the bike is the same as before. Small in size and very Italian in design. But while the silhouette might look the same as before, the closer you look, the more changes you will notice. The headlight gets new brackets and a new DRL unit, the instrumentation is new, the tank is more sculpted, the seat is flatter and doesn’t leave much room to move around and the rear sub-frame is all new with a pan-shaped structure for the rear seat. The tail section too is a tad different with updated light clusters and a swingarm-mounted splash guard and number plate assembly. The triple exhaust pipes too are a lot bigger for 2017. Overall, it looks just as mean as before and the sense of aggression and Italian flair has not been lost. In fact, this bike’s new design touches only add to the flair.
