There are plenty of ‘niches’ in the van conversion world, but if your ‘niche’ is cycling, then take a look at CJL Leisure’s brilliant bike bespoke builds. When Cye set up CJL Leisure in 2016 he already had plenty of leisure vehicle experience as former Head of Design and Development at Bailey, renowned manufacturers of motorhomes and caravans. Part of his responsibility at Bailey was to look at engineering developments in other sectors and bring them to Bailey. As a born adventurer himself—he’s a former top competitive water skier and loves mountain biking and ‘anything to do with the sea’—his growing passion was to build, not just highquality campervans, but to make them true adventure vans, and in more than just name.
Visiting CJL Leisure’s workshop and design centre in WestonSuper-Mare you’re immediately struck by the immaculate setup there. Everything is organised and has its place. Even the spray bottles are lined up in order, with the details of each bottle’s contents neatly outlined on the unit below.
