Volvo's Promise Of All-Electric Future With EX90 by 2030

As one of the most progressive brands in the world in terms of safety and environmental consciousness, Volvo has made some bold announcements in the recent past. For instance, while regulators around the world are still working towards stopping the sales of ICE vehicles, Volvo has announced that beginning with the launch of the EX90 this year, they will become an EV-only company by 2030. At the same time, Volvo has also been at the forefront of driver assistance and safety technology.

THE NEW PLATFORM

The EX90 will be Volvo’s first product to be offered only as an EV. At first glance, the EX90 may appear similar to the XC90, and I think this is intentional. The idea is to enable the customer acceptance of EVs and make the transition to EVs more seamless by making the EX90 look similar to the cars that Volvo offers. Also, the large size of the EX90 means that it will be a true family car, with three rows of seating and enough space for the family.
