The most important part of your beauty routine is to get your skin in top shape. Once you have a fresh, gorgeous palette to paint on, you only need to highlight your eyes, lips or skin for the perfect look. “Makeup is not a mask that covers up your beauty; it’s a weapon that helps you express who you are from the inside,” says makeup artist Jenny from Toni & Guy, Kochi.

For a cheerful face 

Use a moisturiser with SPF 50 before applying sunscreen. Rain or shine, you should get in the habit of applying sunscreen every day. Apply concealer with your ring finger to the spots that need it most (under the eye, in the hollow sockets on the inside of the eye, along the nose, on the chin). Blend in by patting — never rubbing — the concealer.

Apply a foundation to your face with a foam sponge, making sure to blend along the jawline. For sheerer, natural coverage, consider a tinted moisturiser, which goes on much lighter than typical foundations. Apply blush on the apples of your cheeks. If you want to appear sun-kissed, apply a bronzer as well.
