This year, the successful CEO SleepOut is introducing SheEO SleepOut, where female business leaders will sleep on the streets to raise money for the homeless.
It’s a warm autumn day in Rosebank in Sandton, South Africa, as people gather to launch this year’s edition of CEO SleepOutTM. A number of the country’s prominent personalities will be headed to the Union Buildings at 6PM on June 22 to sleep in the cold in solidarity with the homeless, but this year, the event has a twist: it will only be female CEOs out on the cold pavements, and it’s being called SheEO SleepOutTM .
The primary beneficiary for this year is Door of Hope, an organization that aims to save abandoned babies and find safe and loving family environments for them.
The organization was founded in 1999 by Cheryl Allen and has since saved more than 1,500 babies.
