What is the Indian apparel export scenario?

India happens to be the second-largest exporter of apparels and textiles in the world, with an expansive base of manufacturers and easy availability of raw materials. Indian silk, cotton, and denim experiences high demand in the global market, and so does Indian craftsmanship. In fact, the textile industry is one of the greatest sources of the nation's revenues via exports, accounting for about 15% of India's export earnings. In 2019, textiles and apparels worth more than $36 billion were exported from India, and readymade garment accounting for $7 billion were exported between April 2020 and November 2020.
