In the New Year, we expect to witness a lot of new technology developments. Although, some of the technologies may have been around earlier, they are only seeing light now. Here are some trends that we see happening in 2020.
Consumer Electronics
We will see some innovations in 5G, AI, ML, AR/VR, Android, and Cyber Security in 2020 and beyond.
Though 5G deployment started in 2019, it is going to increase in 2020. A lot more device makers will launch their 5G handheld devices in 2020. It will not only bring faster data connectivity to devices but also reliability even in crowded areas like malls, markets, events. The new standard will also enable consumers to enjoy high-quality media content (4K/8K) over faster networks and stream/broadcast live content efficiently.
Though 3D, 4K, 8K contents have been there for some time now, streaming those and immersive media experience will increase. We will see more 8K HD TVs in the market.
AR/VR will have a greater impact in the year. Gaming on devices is going to change through Virtual Reality giving players a feeling of proximity. Enterprises will start using AR and VR in remote troubleshooting and training.
