Zanna Van Dijk on striking the wellness balance
Zanna Van Dijk believes that we all have the power to become the best version of ourselves and at just 25, this Dutch-English leggy blonde personal trainer and blogger from Sheffield has reached the pinnacle of her career. Synonymous with wellness in the UK and further afield as Global Ambassador for Adidas, she graced the covers of numerous fitness and style magazines while recently headlining London’s annual Balance Festival. With her first book under her belt (Strong was released last year), in just three years Van Dijk is paving a healthy sustainable future for herself and our planet, if she has her way.
“My first year into university studying Speech and Language Therapy I gained the dreaded ‘Freshers 15’ (the 15 pounds many students gain on a diet of vodka and pizza). From there it was a slow journey of education and growth, but I found my balance,” admits Van Dijk. Her eponymous blog started before she finished university and three years ago 30,000 followers was a big deal as not many people did Instagram, (now it’s a hugely impressive 230,000 and counting). She says, “Cool opportunities started to come up for me, and I thought ‘I can be a speech therapist in five years’ time, but I need to go with this fitness thing’, so I moved to London to follow my passion.”
