Coleen Rooney is worried about the future after husband Wayne signs for a US team. But she’s determined they’ll find a way to cope.
The future of his football career had been hanging in the balance in recent years, but last week Wayne Rooney’s fate was sealed when he signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Washington-based football club, D.C. United.
The star, 32, is set to play his first match on 14 July and revealed he “couldn’t wait” to get on the pitch.
However, insiders tell Closer that his wife Coleen is scared about how the move will affect their family life with children Kai, eight, Klay, four, Kit, two, and fourth-month-old Cass Mac.
A source says, “Coleen has known the move was on the cards for a while, but she still can’t quite believe it’s a reality. She’s happy for Wayne because she knows he’s doing this for the family, but she’s torn too because she’s also worried about such a big change.
