-Fans insist money has changed him and expertssay his sense of entitlement has led to downfall
-Insiders say Posh is struggling to staysupportive and is furious at his behaviour
There’s no denying the power and success that Brand Beckham has achieved over the years, with the family reported to be worth even more than the Queen, having an estimated half-a-billion-pound fortune.
But while David, 43, was once regarded as a national hero – going from working class teenager to England captain and earning millions through lucrative deals with Adidas, Rolex and Samsung – his popularity has crashed in recent weeks. The former footballer left fans furious when he hired lawyer Nick Freeman – nicknamed Mr Loophole – to get him off speeding charges after he was caught driving at 59mph in a 40mph zone earlier this year.
David – whose own lawyer admitted last week he should have been convicted for the charge from a “moral standpoint” – failed to apologise for his actions and, instead, seemingly celebrated escaping the fine with a luxurious meal with wife Posh in Paris, which included a £1,300 bottle of wine. They then flew out to a French vineyard with A-list pals including Eva Longoria and Gordon Ramsay.
