It was the perfect country retreat, a haven away from their manic lives in London, where the Beckhams could spend quality time with their four children and close friends. But now their dream Cotswolds home has been tarnished and pals reveal Posh is living in terror.

In just one month, their £6 million Oxfordshire mansion has twice been targeted by intruders. The first time in October saw three balaclava-clad raiders caught on camera using a ladder to spy through a first-floor window, before being chased away.

MASKED GANG

Then, just weeks later, police confirmed it had been targeted again, with reports claiming a masked gang tried to break in, before being chased away by the Beckhams’ security team.

Insiders tell Closer that the multiple break-in attempts have sent Posh, 44, into a panic and she’s now terrified at the thought of being at the property without David, 43, while he’s working overseas on his various projects, including his football team in Miami.

A source says, “Police believe the gangs have been staking the place out. Victoria is terrified and friends hate seeing her living in fear of something happening – it seems it’s a case of when, not if.”
