1 Glitz, Glam & Glitter!

TRENDING locally recently this past week was the hashtag#PriscillaSA, and for good reason, too. We were lucky enough to score tickets to the opening of the world smash-hit stage production of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert, and all we can say is that if anyone needs a pick-me-up, this production – one big glitter ball of camp, fabulous, funny, heart-wrenching and soul-lifting musical all wrapped in sequins and delivered by glorious talent – is for you. It tells the tale of three Australian drag artists who travel from Sydney to the less-than-cosmopolitan Alice Springs, each for their own reasons, which play out over their course of the trip in a old bus named Priscilla. From the award winning costumes to the OTT playlist – ranging from Village People’s Go West and Say A Little Prayer to a Kylie Minogue medley (a lot of these carried by three heavenly flying divas), every part of the production was spot-on. Here are a few facts about the show which will have you seeing stars. Glittery, sparkly stars. The show features:
