Salome Mitter discovers the reason why sexpert Dr Ruth doesn’t recommend one-night stands… and it has nothing to do with STDs.
Yes, she is an admirable 91 but that hasn’t stopped Ruth Weistheimer, better known as Dr Ruth, from noting what ails the sex lives of millennials. The American sex therapist, media personality and author, whose media career began in 1980 with the radio show ‘Sexually Speaking’, has revealed that she is writing a new edition of her 1995 handbook ‘Sex For Dummies’.
While speaking about ‘Ask Dr Ruth’, the documentary about her life and work, she shared that the fourth edition of her book will be focused on millennials. “I will talk about loneliness, I will talk about the issue of the art of conversation, the issue of sexually transmitted diseases, all of those issues. And then they can open it, they don’t have to read the whole page, just read that paragraph that I’m writing about,” she divulged about the book that is due this year.
She also shared that one of her most important pieces of sex advice is that there should always be a relationship. “I don’t believe in one-night stands. It will have lots of problems and loneliness. I want people to have relationships.”
