When Rorisang (Rebecca Mfoti) met Freddie (Charles Baloyi) a few months ago, she was convinced that she'd finally met her wealthy knight in shining armour. Freddie portrayed himself as Dintle's (Mapaseka Koetle) rich businessman uncle, when in fact he is Dintle's homeless uncle who is being hunted by the police for taking a lessthan-flattering video of cops breaking the law. Even when the truth about his identity came out, Rori stood by her man as she'd already fallen in love with the gentle giant. And it seems that even through their crooked new schemes, their love may triumph.
BLOWN-UP DREAMS
In their quest for fame and fortune, one of Rori and Freddie's plans backfires on them. "They aspire to be more than they are, more than just 'township people' who must worry everyday about money and putting food on the table. They're on a mission to make their dreams come true and while this latest failure sets them back, they have got each other's backs," says Charles.
They literally are trying to be celebs because to the pair, fame equals money in their pockets. "They don't even have the funds to start their journey to being famous," explains Charles, "but they're industrious and will find ways to get the money. It's not going to be easy and I think that they might drift apart a little bit," adds the actor, hinting that both of the characters want power.
FORWARD WE GO, BABY!
Despite the obstacles, Charles says that "Freddie and Rori have one strategy: To wake up and make plans every day.
