When it comes to the daily lives of the medical staff at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital, slicing and dicing into human bodies is the easy part of the medical drama series The Resident (2018-now). It’s the unpredictable personal drama and personality clashes that make being a medical expert difficult – and things will definitely get more complicated and deadly in season 2. “Not everybody gets out alive and what will happen, I hope, will have viewers holding their breath,” says show co-creator Amy Holden Jones (executive producer of single-season medical series Black Box, 2014). “This is going to be tense, and the doctors will be pushed to their limits.”
