Andy Cohen – 'Fatherhood made me grow up'

He's been a fixture of late-night television for the past 15 years thanks to his hosting gig on Watch What Happens Live, not to mention being the executive producer for some of the world's biggest shows like the Real Housewives franchise and Below Deck. Despite being the king of reality TV, Andy Cohen was surprised to find out he had such a fan base Down Under. "I didn't think I was going to be famous when I came here," the 54-year-old tells WHO.

In Australia for WorldPride, Cohen admits he's been "burning the candle at both ends" during the festivities. And why shouldn't he? The first openly gay late-night talk-show host has plenty to celebrate after decades in the business and a constant string of successful shows. Here, the dad of two tells WHO about his favourite celebrity interview and the new generation of Housewives.

Are you ever surprised at how farreaching your shows are globally?

We were on the plane [to Australia] trying to determine if I had any level of exposure here. So it's a great surprise - it's really nice. And I mean, on the other hand, I'm not surprised because I think Housewives viewers have great taste and they know a good thing when they see it. And it certainly translates to a global audience.
