While we all know breathing is a crucial part of life, experts are increasingly discovering the importance of learning to do it correctly. Breathwork has been used to treat conditions such as stress, anxiety, asthma, depression, mood disorders, digestive disorders, and even memory function.
“Medicine is just recognising the importance of energy to health,” explains Dr Richard P Brown from Columbia University. “And our most critical source of energy is oxygen.” So take a deep breath and get started!
