He’s admitted he has “a problem with authority” but even so, actor Firass Dirani says he’s determined to go as far as he can on SAS Australia. But, as we’re seeing on screen, he’s not taking the easy route. “I’m a lip and I’m public enemy number one,” he tells WHO. “I know that. But I didn’t do this for fame. I did this show because I love being taken out of my comfortability and going, ‘Can you handle it?’”
The difficult route involves being repeatedly dunked in ice cold water for breaking the rules and incurring the wrath of his fellow contenders, who confronted Dirani, 37, during this week’s episodes to demand that he toe the line. “I’m never going to do that,” he adds. “They’ll never break me.”
Did you deliberately set out to be ‘the villain’ on SAS Australia?
