Get Pregnant Fast

One shot, one kill. No luck, just skill.

1 Embark On a Healthy Lifestyle

You and your spouse may want to start embarking on (if you haven’t already) a healthy lifestyle before trying to conceive. You may wish to stop unhealthy habits such as drinking, smoking and sleeping too little or too late. Instead, start healthy ones like exercising, maintaining a good weight, and begin taking prenatal vitamins such as folic acid, calcium and iron supplements. In addition, you may want to schedule a preconception medical screening.

Preconception medical screenings aim to identify and hopefully change and improve medical, behavioural and social risks to you and your partner’s health for healthy pregnancy outcomes. It is an opportunity to resolve any existing health issues before you conceive.

Preconception medical care typically involves risk screening, physical assessment, vaccinations and counselling, and is available at most maternity hospitals in Singapore.

2 Look Out for Your Body’s Natural Signs of Fertility

As complex as it is, your body does indeed exhibit some natural signals of fertility. The following methods are some possible ways of reading those signs:

"The Billings Ovulation Method – When you are not ovulating, your cervical discharge may appear to be sticky, cloudy or even nonexistent. However, as ovulation approaches, your body produces more oestrogen which causes cervical mucus to become stretchy and transparent, quite similar to the appearance of egg white. This change in cervical mucus consistency is a good and relatively reliable indicator that your fertile period is at its peak.

Cervix Changes – During peak fertility, your cervix will become higher, softer and more open. You can feel for these cervical changes with your fingers.
