Shane Prendergast tells us how his triathlon training is not too dissimilar from web development
Last September I cycled 3,200 miles from San Francisco to New York, raising over £13,000 for charity (rideforthechild.co.uk). It was an incredible experience but afterwards I said to myself that I wouldn’t do anything like this again,
A month later I found myself itching to get back into training, strange, I know. I wanted a new challenge as without exercise I felt quite lazy, had less energy and ultimately I was becoming a little bored. Throughout my cycle training I met many athletes and the ones I admired the most were triathletes, specifically full Ironman ones who were in a club that consisted of less than 0.01 per cent of the world’s population.
