Those with an appetite for Chinese cuisine in Scottsdale, Ariz., are in for a surprise when they happen upon local institution Chop and Wok.
While its terra cotta-roofed, strip mall exterior may be unassuming, the eclectic interior tells another story. The speakers here jubilantly blare a wide range of musical styles (think Led Zeppelin to Miles Davis immediately followed by surf rock or hip hop). Punk and rock music memorabilia adorn virtually every inch of the sky blue ceiling and brightly colored walls. Surf gear intermingled with hanging guitars and generations of beer signs complete the visual cacophony.
