Entrepreneurship is not a choice, it’s a lifestyle… That’s what young entrepreneur ASA FERREIRAbelieves in. Citadel talks with this young creative lass, who is the Founder of SOCIO LOCA, and Vice President (Marketing) of UNITED BASKETBALL ALLIANCE.
It’s a pleasant summer evening as we sip our iced coffees and dig into the juicy grilled chicken plate in front of us. We are meeting Asa Ferreira over an early dinner for an interview, listening attentively and mentally keeping up with her as she runs us through her list of achievements. Still in her earlier twenties, she’s successfully heading a digital agency in Pune, Socio Loca, for the last three years. Along with this, she is also the Vice President of Marketing at United Basketball Alliance.
What was expected to be a quick chat turns out to be a full-fledged dinner, complete with desserts et all, as she sits there telling us all about exploring new opportunities, remaining unfazed in the middle of intense competition, and just how excited she is about the new developments in her professional life. At the end of four hours, we understand what Asa meant when she said, “The interview can wait, let’s get coffee first?”
Her love for coffee is evident from her Twitter handle, where she goes by the name of MustExpresso and dishes out motivational gyaan and social media information as she hustles and builds her empire. We get down to business after ordering ourselves some coffee; she believes coffee is needed at the start of anything new, and we aren’t really complaining.
