The Indian broadcast industry is on the cusp of a significant transition. With an overlap and convergence driving the world of telecom, cloud, mobile, media and entertainment; the global pandemic has led the industry to start afresh in many ways. The situation has instigated various opportunities to create digital experiences that have redefined the way information is shared, while allowing the community to engage in new, easy and unique ways.
Technology sizeably impacts everything it taps, the world of broadcast and entertainment being no exception. The possibilities are galore, augmentations possible in this industry remain elusive most of the time, except during conventions and trade shows like the annual Broadcast India Show. The show has spanned for over two and a half decades since 1991. Broadcast India Show is in its 30th year, had its 2020 edition held digitally this year. This digital edition continued to serve as the only effective platform for showcasing next-gen technologies. With its theme, In focus, In Demand, the event featured a good mix of technical sessions, technology showcase and networking. The show, held from 29th to 31st October, 2020, offered comprehensive presentation options and year-long networking opportunities in its ‘We Go Digital’ edition.
THE NEW NORMAL
Due to the global health crisis resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent restrictions that have been imposed on travel and business operations, the Broadcast India Show transitioned to a digital model for the year 2020.
