I Want To Help Fight Hunger

Twenty-two-year-old Bangalorean Roshmitha Harimurthy believes in making her own way to success. Not winning the Miss Universe 2016 crown didn’t deter her; if anything, it has only made her stronger. This beauty queen has an entrepreneurial streak that keeps her dreaming, and given the chance, she wants to help fight world hunger— ambitions that show us her strong and selfless side. Something in her voice tells me that she’s not messing around, and will make her mark, sooner or later.

You won the Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva 2016 pageant and were India’s entry to Miss Universe 2016. Did you undergo any special training for it?

Yes, definitely. There was training for personality development and a more advanced form of ramp walking. They even gave us hair and makeup sessions so we could do our own prepping. For Miss Universe, you have to be prepared on a whole other level.

How would you sum up your Miss Universe 2016 journey?
