SUMMER BEAUTY FT. BOLLYWOOD

If you’re finding summer harsh as you work from home or even at office, think about the majority of the film industry who are now in the throes of shooting – mostly outdoors. The result? Actors whose glamorous looks belie what their skin and hair goes through in the scorching humidity that spares no one. To get more information on how to negate the effects of the burning heat, we asked Mrunal Thakur, Mira Rajput Kapoor and Nimrat Kaur to share their summer beauty practices with us.

A summer beauty hack that you swear by…

MRUNAL THAKUR: My mother and grandmother have always applied honey as a face pack. It works as a good moisturiser, hydrates the skin and protects it from summer dryness. It might get a bit icky, but I use it too. After all, moisturising your skin is important.

MIRA RAJPUT KAPOOR: My mom has put cold raw milk on her face for as long as I can remember. The skin gets burnt easily in the North Indian summer. She would often tell me to put it on as well, mixed with a few drops of rose water. Now even my kids put kacchha doodh (raw milk) on their faces.

NIMRAT KAUR: I apply dahi (yoghurt) and haldi (turmeric) on my face, let it dry, and then rub it off. It sloughs all the dead skin away, and even lightens an unwanted tan.
