Twenty-something slacker Shaun (Liu) is content to spend his days as a parking valet at a luxury San Francisco hotel, joking around with his best friend, Katy (Awkwa fina).
After he’s forced to showcase his martial-arts prowess, he reveals to Katy that his real name is Shang-Chi and he must return to China after an absence of 10 years to find his sister, Xialing (Zhang). He must protect her from their father, the immortal crime boss Xu Wenwu (Tony Leung), who possesses magical artefacts known as the 10 rings.
