He’s the local X Factor winner whose new track, Holiday, featuring Wyclef Jean and Fergie (yes, you read that right!) is getting us right into summer holiday mode! Tell us more about your track, Holiday, which South Africans are loving.
Holiday was written and produced by Wyclef Jean and it’s a feel-good song about just kicking back and letting your hair down. But there’s also a positive message in it about bringing peace. I think it appeals to everyone and is universal.
What was it like working with Wyclef and Fergie and how did it come about?
It was incredible! It one of my best experiences by far. It all started when I entered the Motorokr Star competition in 2010 [worldwide talent competition hosted by Motorola] and there were thousands of entries. Wyclef and his team of judges chose me as the winner.
