LOVERS who haven’t seen each other for three months embrace tenderly through masks. A couple stare at the camera a week before their baby is born, their faces reflecting the isolation of the pandemic. And two old friends contemplate the sea from a train.
These are just some of the winning images of everyday life from the international Portrait of Humanity awards, a global photography competition with the philosophy that “there’s more that unites us than sets us apart”.
