His fortune goes back to 1991 when Countess Karlotta Leibenstein of Germany died and left her $80million (then R216m) fortune to her German Shepherd named Gunter III. The money has been passed down and grown thanks to trustees investing wisely in real estate.

This kitty is the world’s highest-earning cat influencer, boasting over 4 million followers. She rakes in the cash from endorsement deals, merchandise, and her own premium cat food called lovenalaco. She makes $14 410 (about R216 000) per Instagram post – not bad for a rescue!
Nala lives with her owners Varisiri “Pookie” Methac hittiphan and Shannon Ellis in Los Angeles, California.
