Wanda Sykes joins the cast of The Good Fight in its fifth season, as lawyer Allegra Dorado, who returns to practice law after taking a decade off to write a book.
“Our holy grail of casting is always to find dramatic actors who can also deliver the comedy, and that pretty much defines Wanda,” said the show’s creators, Robert and Michelle King.
CAREER SWITCH
Wanda (57) wasn’t always an actor-writer-comedian-producer – she once worked for America’s National Security Agency as a contracting specialist.
While her job title sounds intriguing, Wanda told The Guardian it had nothing to do with espionage and was spent in an office, calculating the best bids for blueprints and schematics.
