14 ways to be kind to someone totally amazing (you)
Girls' Life magazine|February/March 2022
It’s easy to be sweet to every- one around you (yeah, you’re just nice like that). But don’t forget to bounce the happy moods back to you, too. Try these itty- bitty tips to show yourself *all* the love this Valentine’s Day season…then keep the good vibes going the whole year long.
14 ways to be kind to someone totally amazing (you)

1 Snag some “me” time • Life gets hectic, we get it. But just because you’re slammed with schoolwork, sports and student council doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your sanity. Give yourself a break and *actually* relax: Take your pup on a 30-minute walk or soak up a lo-fi moment with a warm bubble bath. Time to unwind (away from screens, pls) helps you stay balanced.

2 Go with your gut • You’re a pro at working out tough probs for your BFFs—but when you’re the one sitting on the fence, it’s easy to ignore your instincts. Stop second-guessing that voice in your head (or that feeling in your gut): It’s called your conscience. And it’s signaling you for a reason.

3 Forgive and forget • Nothing kills confidence like guilt, so make peace with past mistakes. Whether you got a C in Spanish last quarter or accidentally spilled a friend’s secret over the holidays, let go of the bad feelings ASAP. Holding on to negativity holds you back, so learn from your experience, then push past the self-punishment.
