Meet Masoom Minawala, a digital-content-creator-turned –digital-entrepreneur. With over 1.2 million followers across all social media platforms, Masoom is one of the aspiring and most looked upon digital content creators in the country. Her content revolves around positivity, lifestyle, family, gender equality, books, travel, and more, and recently, she has started a new venture called @EmpowherOfficial, which aims to empower homegrown women-led Indian brands, bring visibility to them and elevate them to a global audience. She has also been a speaker at TEDxYouth@Wilrijk in Belgium and was put on HSBC’s list of leading female entrepreneurs worldwide. Additionally, she’s an equity partner and lead innovation & strategy at the e-commerce startup ‘The Cai Store’ too. In a detailed conversation with TMM, she talks about everything that makes her a successful woman and what keeps her going.

From your blog Miss Style Fiesta to your Instagram page, how has been the journey as a content creator, and what is the biggest takeaway till date?

My biggest takeaway in the journey of 11 years of being a content creator is, I’ve realized that to really be an authentic content creator, there are 2 things that have to be there- Consistency and Passion. One has to be consistent because you give your community the time and once you’ve achieved their trust, they keep coming back to you and you have to make sure to keep delivering with that consistency. Secondly, if you’re not passionate about the subject that you’re creating content around, it will be very visible to your audience. Being incisively passionate about what I do has helped me adapt and grow with the changing dynamics of the internet, be up to date with the new trends and continue to create content that will help my community.

Fashion as a subject is very close to you. How do you see the evolving face of fashion in the Indian market?
