Drones are becoming more frequent in the real world and thus more common in the modelling world. The RQ-7 Shadow is available in a couple of different scales.
How things can change in justa few short weeks. Back in February we were looking forward another great year of shows and modelling excitement. All that has changed now as we are all advised to remain isolated in our homes for much of the time. Like most other aspects of life, the model show circuit has been decimated by the necessary restrictions imposed by the fight against Coronavirus. Many of our IPMS branches were planning their own shows again this year and for them the decision to cancel or postpone events has been a difficult one.
As I write this column IPMS (UK) is still planning on the assumption that we will be able to hold Scale ModelWorld in November in some form. It is inevitable that we are also looking at various contingencies in case we are forced to postpone or cancel the show. However, we feel it is immensely important to continue the planning process. It is an article of faith; a belief that things will return to normal; a beacon in the night if you want to get melodramatic.
