A Gastric ulcers are located in the stomach whereas duodenal ulcers are found at the beginning of the small intestine. There are chances that a person may have both of these ulcers at the same time.

CAUSE OF PEPTIC ULCER :

Peptic ulcers happen when the acid that helps you digest food damage the wall of stomach or duodenum. Ulcer is the end result of an imbalance between digestive fluids in the stomach and duodenum. The most common cause of Peptic ulcers is due to infection caused by helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) bacteria or by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as aspirin and ibuprofen. Over drinking and smoking also at times lead to cause ulcers. Stress and spicy food does not cause ulcer but make the condition worst.
