Covid 19 - The Dreaded Virus is Playing Havoc with the Life of Indians

In April 2021, Promil, my wife, and self, went to the Bombay Municipality COVID vaccination centre to take our second dose of COVID serum vaccination. There were no side effects. We are also doing practices outlined below.

What is COVID 19?

COVID-19, abbreviated for corona virus, CO stands for Corona, VI stands for virus, D stands for disease.

The incubation period from infection to symptom onset could be as little as four days and in some cases up to 14 days. Thus, when we have a reasonable suspicion that we have been infected, certain preventive measures, including Yogic purificatory practices, to cleanse the nose and the throat can help.

Quarantine is recommended from the onset of the symptoms to 14 days.

Mild symptoms are fever, sore throat, cough, soreness of muscles, gastro intestinal problems etc. A feeling of unease persists.

Persons suffering from mild symptoms can be treated at home; others need specialised attention from experts in the field.

Transmission of disease of COVID-19 occurs when we are in close proximity of persons who are infected. It occurs mainly through the respiratory system, although other forms are also occurring nowadays. It occurs more where there is poor ventilation.
