What drew us to the site was the expansive views of the Adyar river mouth joining the ocean. To further enhance this view, we made extensive civil changes to open up the living and dining spaces onto a deck that overlooked this panorama.

Founder, Studio Shibumi ,
Founded by Prathyusha Kanna in 2018, Studio Shibumi is a design firm that specialises in highly customised residential interiors. After a foundation in Art History, Prathyusha then went on to graduate from CEPT Ahmedabad in 2001. She started her career with 'Rajiv Saini and Associates' in Mumbai and over the next few years worked in Bangalore and Chennai with leading design firms. During these early years she has worked on award-winning projects. She has been involved in the process of design right from concept to completion and this has honed her skills in detailing and innovative problem solving.
