WHO LIVES HERE
A homeowner in her 40s
HOME A two-bedroom condominium apartment in Whampoa
SIZE 700 sq ft
What marketing manager Marilyn Tan likes is evident as soon as one steps into her home. Every section sparkles with personality, from the modern Peranakan accents to the musical elements on the walls. However, hidden just out of sight is far more than meets the eye.
The 700 sq ft condominium apartment is her sanctuary, a space for her hobbies and a place for entertaining friends. To achieve all three in one space, versatility and creativity were key, so Marilyn approached Amanda Pang of AMP Design Co to take up the challenge.
The design director made it possible for Marilyn to easily transform the rooms whenever she needed to by including plenty of concealed storage and pull-out pieces. For instance, one of the drawer units in the living room TV console is a coffee table. When not in use, it blends in seamlessly with the rest of the units, freeing up space in the living room.
