How To Pick The Right Beauty Salon!
CLEO Singapore|September 2018

Gone are the days when “going to the salon” meant just getting your hair done. Now, you could be beefing up your brows, getting eyelash extensions or trying the trendiest nail art. Here’s what you need to look out for before your next appointment.

How To Pick The Right Beauty Salon!

We’ve all been to our fair share of mediocre or even downright bad salons, but is there a way to weed them out from the ones that are truly worth your money?

For starters, it helps to check out the reviews on their social media pages and scout the salon on online forums to get an idea of the level of service they provide.

Better still, ask a friend for a recommendation. Find out why your friend likes going to that salon – is it the service, the quality, the products they use, the value for money? All these little things add up to having a great experience.

Once you’ve narrowed down a salon that seems like a good fit, don’t immediately schedule a treatment. Arrange for a consultation first so you can check out the location, get a feel for the salon and interact with the staff to help you decide if you’re truly comfortable going there.

Whether you’re getting your lashes, brows or nails done, here are a few things to keep in mind before scheduling that appointment.

Lash lust

Say goodbye to dealing with smudgy mascara in this humid climate with the help of eyelash extensions. Though you will have to be more delicate when touching your eyes, having longer and more defined lashes that create the illusion of wearing eyeliner is so worth the effort.

Bring along pictures of the styles of eyelashes you like so your therapist can recommend the right lash curvature, thickness and length suitable for you. Also, set aside at least two hours for the appointment so your therapist won’t feel rushed and can do a good job.
