We go to great pains to document what we put into our bodies – styling and ’gramming our food for all to admire. How long will it be before we start paying as much attention to a meal’s exit from the body?
Singapore’s Liza Rowan, a holistic nutritionist at Health and Vitality, says it’s a shame our poop can’t talk because it can reveal so much about us.
Poop-fection
People who literally have their sh*t together, will poop every day, and preferably at around the same time daily.
Pooping should be easy, not a test of the strength of your abs or the toilet’s durability. It should not take longer than a minute or so.
The poop emoji is brown and looks like a soft serve. Unless you have eaten a lot of beetroot, your poop should also be brown. It should also be smooth in consistency, and if you were to squat on the ground, instead of sitting on the “throne” and having it drop into water, your poop might also curl up in a cute meringue shape, like the poop emoji.
Liza says the good thing about a poop that lingers in the bowl for a bit before you flush it away is that you can doa pretty good self-diagnosis.
