Forget long workouts in conventional gyms. With their innovative approach to fitness, these gyms will have you fit and trim in no time.
It’s a little past mid-year, and that New Year’s resolution to lose a few kilos and get stronger, fitter and healthier probably fizzled out under pressure to get the kids ready for school or meet presentation deadlines, or from plain boredom with your old workout routine. To help you revive your resolution (you still have four months till the year end) we’ve rounded up four boutique gyms with a fresh take on fitness.
UFIT
With outlets at Amoy Street, One-North, Tanjong Pagar and Bukit Timah, UFIT (or Urban Fitness) takes a 360-degree approach to fitness, offering personal training, nutrition, physiotherapy, sports massage and mixed martial arts (MMA), plus a UFIT Bootcamp, a UFIT Run Club and a UFIT Core in eight locations around the city – so it’s virtually impossible to make an excuse not to go. Each session is different and equally challenging, with the element of surprise keeping you and your muscles in top form. To ensure each client gets the necessary attention, the closed gym allows only 25 participants in each session and a maximum of 10 for its HITFIT classes.
