Adapting to the NEW YEAR

THIS NEW YEAR SHOULD BE ALL ABOUT SUSTAINING POSITIVE LIFESTYLE CHANGES THAT ARE HEALTHY, BALANCED, AND EASY TO ADAPT TO.

Adapting to the NEW YEAR

2020 has been a tough year for all of us, apart from so many downsides of 2020, lifestyle has changed for most people. Work from home has become a part of our lives, homeschooling is also putting pressure on parenting, sedentary behaviors, no motivation to remain fit, no zeal of dressing up - all of this means that most of us have let go of our bodies, and some wrong habits have set in.

While adapting to new changes we must keep some things in mind which are easy to adapt to:

Eat only when hungry: Easy thing is to follow your body signals, of course not letting any greed set in. If you eat regimented meals it is good but if you can not follow that pattern then it is better to listen to your body. Do not quash your appetite by drinking caffeine or excess water. Eat food that has nutritional value.

Drink lots of water and non-caffeinated beverages: Drinking too much coffee will lead to water retention and high cortisol. Avoid too many teas, although drinking tea with milk once a day is alright if you are not lactose intolerant but drinking many cups will pile on the weight as tea also has caffeine. Hydrate with water even in winter.
